No More Sales
Yeah, I know. But running a small business is a lot of work. I do all the creating (that includes designing, cutting, sanding, drilling, polishing, and assembling), all the packaging and shipping, all the stock-keeping, all the website design, social media, emails... and...well...everything else. My husband owns half the business but does none of the work (but that's on me as I am a 'If you want it done right, do it yourself' person and I don't trust a lot of people to do things right) so everything is on me.
All of this takes up time and up-front money that, believe it or not, I would like to make back and help provide for my family. This is my full-time business since I am a stay at home momma to two beautiful children. Daycare is expensive, so staying home was smarter than working and spending 3/4 of my paycheck for daycare. that 1/4 of my paycheck wasn't enough to make 8 hours away from my babies every day worth it.
So with all that being said, I am no longer going to be doing sales. Any discount codes for affiliates and partners will remain active, but you wont see any quarterly or surprise sales. From now on, I will be doing one big sale a year, on Black Friday weekend. Just like the one you guys are about to see for the first time (as of the time I'm writing this post). This is the first year of Ola 'Elua and I have big plans. But I am still learning, and right now, I am learning that offering sales is not increasing the amount of purchases I am getting, but it is instead decreasing my income.
If you have ever run a business, either from scratch or in any kind of management position than you know that there are a lot of things that go into it. My value is worth it. My products are worth it. My time is worth it. My kids are worth it.
Thank you for understanding.
